Annotation: This article explores the compatibilities and tensions between universal design for learning and digital accessibility. While both have similar goals to increase learning access, conflicts arise because accessibility accommodations can complicate efforts to quickly disseminate flexible learning options. It also explores recommendations for institutions to follow to make progress in both UDL and accessibility compliance.
