Annotation: This articles uses the frameworks Multi-Dimensional Cultural Competence from counseling psychology and cultural safety from indigenous nursing to critique and compliment the framework of cultural competence that is used in some academic libraries. The author discusses each of these frameworks, showcases how they can be used to bolster each other, and provides examples of how this might work in a library context.
